When I was a kid I used to love reading Marvel stories done by Fred Hembeck (for years “Fred Hembeck destroys the Marvel Universe” was a staple in my weekly reading pile.) So when I found out that I could commission him to draw Celtic Shaman I was over the moon. This picture is one of my favorite things in the world.

For this cover for “Eye of the Piper” all I asked was that Mannix be in his kilt… because there aren’t enough superheros in kilts. Art Work by Peka, colors by Jet Amago.

Way back in 2009 I put the word out that we were looking for someone to help us out with a Celtic Shaman #1 cover. Scott Nichols answered the call and gave us his take on the characters. I’ve always really liked it. For some reason I think it would make a great wood carving.

As part of the ‘Facebook comic con’ Jay offered to work on this for me. I love how it turned out (I think it’s my wifes favorite Shaman piece too.)  Check Jay out at facebook.com/jpiscopo
